Visits to Notre Dame Health System Facilities Are Prohibited
At Notre Dame Health System we take every precaution to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our residents, employees and visitors.
At the direction of the Louisiana Department of Health, we are prohibiting non-essential visitors from entering Chateau de Notre Dame, Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center and Wynhoven Healthcare Center for the next 30 days (ending April 10, 2020).
While we understand that restricting access to your loved ones is difficult, state health officials believe this action is necessary to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
We urge your patience and understanding as we work through these restrictions in trying to reduce the risk of exposure to our residents and patients, particularly since adults 65 years and older are among the highest risk groups for virus-related complications.
Families with loved ones in end-of-life care may be allowed to visit, one person at a time. You are asked, however, to complete a screening questionnaire, have your temperature taken to ensure that you don’t have fever and sanitize your hands before being allowed into the patient care area.
